So you're in town for Bike Week - welcome! We've missed you! This place just crackles with excitement when you roll into town and we want to help you make the most of your time here.
Summit raceway hosted a musical line-up including Norwalk's own Jamestown and Toledo's Rodney Parker and the Liberty Beach Band. The 80's band Asia featuring John Payne also played just before the legendary Charlie Daniels Band graced the stage.
It isn't our intent to kill your buzz here, but in the event of rain during Bike Week, it's good to know your options. There's more to the area than Cedar Point and outdoor activities, so if you're in town and want to know what to do in case of bad weather, look no further.
There was a lot of schmoozin', a little boozin', and a whole lot of laughs abroad the Goodtime I last night. The Erie County Chamber of Commerce hosted a little voyage across Lake Erie all the way to the Cedar Point docks and back.
Ekoostik Hookah are no strangers to Ohio Bike Week and they put on an absolutely incredible show last night inside the Easyriders Saloon at the Rockin' Horse Entertainment Complex. They started fashionably late (like all other musical performers at Bike Week so far), but I wasn't mad because it gave me time to finally try out some delicious, heart-clogging fairground food.
Here, Funcoast has the inside scoop on what you should expect from this year's MIX 102.7 Battle of the Bands contestants. But don't just read it - be sure to check out the music and head to the fairgrounds on June 4 to hear them play!
Eating local… what the heck do I mean, how do you start and why should you care? Well I can't answer all those questions in one sitting but I will answer them eventually. So this week's green story is actually going to be two or three stories over the next few weeks. I do promise that by the end of this you will know how to eat local and have fun doing it.
Thanks to The Onion, we're able to find a steady stream of hilarious (and sometimes inappropriate) horoscopes. This week's star predictions include blowgun darts as the newest sleep aid, and why you may want to avoid those pheromone-based scents.
ColossalCon 9, the annual anime, gaming and Japanese culture convention, will be returning once again to the Kalahari Convention Center from June 3-6. The event will feature a plethora of panels, guest speakers, art galleries, games and much more.
No doubt about it: the MIX 102.7 Battle of the Bands kicked off Ohio Bike Week in Sandusky, filling the Erie County Fairgrounds with people. And while the humidity was high, the excitement was even higher: which band would win, scoring the chance to open for Vince Neil on Saturday?
Considering Vince Neil's day gig with Mötley Crüe is currently on hiatus, the lead singer decided the time was right to release his new cover album, "Tattoos & Tequila.' It's also a good time to stop by Ohio Bike Week.
This week's link is funny and sad at the same time. It's a news story from 1981, when online news was just starting out. The system - which takes 2 hours to produce an online newspaper - works great, except you don't get photos, ads or comics.
