Main Street Port Clinton will be hosting their first Zombie Pub Crawl and Ball from 7:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 27 at several bars on Main Street in downtown Port Clinton.

“Our mission is to promote Main Street Port Clinton and we thought what better way to do that then to host a pub crawl,” said Roseann Hickman, co-chair of the Main Street Port Clinton Promotion Committee. “The zombie apocalypse is huge right now, so we thought this was something different that people would want to participate in.”

The Bait House, McCarthy’s Pub, Slater’s Pub, Rosie’s and Mango Mama’s will be participating in the pub-crawl.

With all the pubs participating located around Main Street in Port Clinton, participants will not have to worry about driving their car.

“Everything is walking distance, so you can park your car and come have a great evening with us,” Hickman said. “Participants can start at any bar and the crawl will end at Mango Mama’s with a Zombie Ball.”

As each zombie visits a new pub they must get their card stamped.

“Also from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. judging for the best zombie costume will take place at Slater’s Pub,” Hickman said. “We will announce the winners at Mango Mama’s at the Zombie Ball.”

First place will receive $300, second place will receive $200 and third place will receive $100.

The cost to participate is $10 and it comes with a Rogue punch card, a free t-shirt to the first 100 zombies and entry into the costume contest.

“This is the not your traditional costume party and is something different to do,” Hickman said. “A lot of times people go to Put-in-Bay for Halloween, so we wanted to give people another option. So, come get in your best zombie outfit and celebrate Halloween with us at Main Street in Port Clinton.”
