Evernote has managed to expand its capabilities even further with its new app Evernote Food.

What we really like about the Evernote Food app is the fact that it incorporates everything having to do with food into one app. It has tabs for restaurants, recipes you’ve saved, meals you’ve enjoyed and even a tab to explore new recipes.

In the My Meals tab you can take notes on meals you’ve eaten, whether you made them yourself, or they were made for you. You can include photos and captions, take notes on the meal, and even tag the location where you had the meal. They also give you the option to write in tag words about your meals to make it easier to find them later.

The Restaurants tab is our favorite. You can choose to “explore” restaurants, meaning you can either have the app use your current location to find restaurants in your area or you can type in a different location and the app will find restaurants around that location. You can then clip the restaurant’s page to save it for later. This tab also has a meals section where you can browse or search meals you’ve had at any restaurant where you tagged the location. It’s perfect for when you’re trying to remember where it was that you had that amazing pita wrap that one time. Plus, when you click on a restaurant’s page, it lists all the meals you’ve had there, and then you can view the note you made about the meal.

The My Cookbook tab allows you to view recipes you have saved from online. This tab works great in conjunction with the Explore Recipes tab, where you can search and browse new recipes to try.

The app even lets you sync with your already existing Evernote account, or create a new one.

Evernote Food app is available for free for iOS devices HERE and Android devices HERE.
