After downloading Vivino the first thing you have to do is create an account or connect Vivino with your personal facebook account. Connecting with facebook makes it easier for your friends to find you and see what wine you've been drinking and recommending lately.
Vivino is unlike other food and beverage scanners because you scan the actual label of the wine (not the UPC) for it to recognize and find the wine. From there you can rate the wine from 1 to 5 stars based on how much you like it. Scanning the label also allows you to see where it ranks on worldwide lists. You can even find information about the winery it came from and find it on the map integration.
Not sure what to eat with your wine? Vivino gives basic food pairing recommendations as well as serving tips. There are also places for you to add your own personal tasting notes.
Did you try a great bottle at your friends' holiday party but didn't get enough? Scan the label and add it to your wish list.
You can also earn badges from Vivino for scanning wines from different regions or countries, scanning different kinds of grapes and even scanning wine labels frequently!
