1.   Santa Hustle Half Marathon and 5K
Why you should go: This fun event, new to Cedar Point this year, involves people running, and walking, around Cedar Point dressed like Santa. All participants will receive a free Santa hat, Santa beard, customized long sleeve shirt and goody bag. There will be holiday decorations, festive music and a large after party with a buffet and drinks. Proceeds formthe event will go to the Volunteer Center of Erie County and anyone attending can donate unopened toys to the Toys for Tots boxes at the event. If participating in the race doesn’t sound like it’s for you, but you want to be involved, you can always volunteer. 2.   Winter Wonderland
Why you should go: Enjoy a Winter Wonderland fair with a craft show, horse rides, refreshments and more. This winter event is a perfect way to celebrate the holidays with the family. There will be holiday lights, horse and sleigh rides, a craft show with over 40 vendors, kids crafts, refreshments, and, of course, Santa.

3.   “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”
Why you should go: Enjoy “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” for free at the Sandusky State Theatre. This feature film retelling of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” starring Jim Carrey, came out in 2000 and almost immediately became a Christmas classic. Enjoy this Christmastime movie on the big screen with your whole family.

4.   Christmas Angel Craft Show
Why you should go: Do some holiday shopping at this craft show benefitting The Volunteers of America Crossroads Homeless Shelter. There will be all sorts of fun going on, including vendors like Scentsy, Avon, Tupperware and more, Santa and Mrs. Claus taking pictures from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and a raffle.

5.   Ugly Christmas sweater party
Why you should go: Wear your ugliest Christmas sweater to the Lube and enjoy live music and prizes. Party it up in your ugly sweater while you enjoy great food and drinks, live entertainment by the JJ Meyers Trio and JJ Jamz and find out who will be awarded the prize for ugliest sweater. Plus, this Friday is a part of the 12 gifts of Christmas event at the Lube, so a portion of the money you spend will go toward the Vermilion Family YMCA.
