Cedar Point Amusement Park is hosting their annual Boeckling’s Banquet at 5:30 p.m. on Fridays and 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays from September 13 to October 26.

The event is a multi-course meal that takes place at Eerie Estates, a creepy haunted house that is supposed to be the mansion of former Cedar Point Owner G.A. Boeckling.

Really, the building used to be the park’s administration building and has now been transformed into a haunted house.

WHAT: Boeckling’s Banquet
WHEN: 5:30 p.m. on Fridays and 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays from September 13 to October 26
WHERE: Cedar Point Amusement Park, 1 Cedar Point Drive in Sandusky
COST: $74.95 a person

The formal sit down dinner includes Boeckling’s salad, fresh baked dinner rolls, one entrée of crab legs, lobster tail and petit filet mignon, char-grilled filet mignon or scrimp, scallop and lobster alfredo, sides of fresh steamed vegetables, twice baked potatoes, dessert and a glass of beer, wine or pop.

“It is such a great deal and such a fun event to do around Halloween,” said Whitney Clark, park enthusiasts and banquet attendee. “You usually do not get this caliber of food at an amusement park, so getting the park experience with the fine dining experience is a real treat.”

After guests enjoy their meal they are welcomed to explore Eerie Estates before it is open to the public as one of the HalloWeekends haunted houses.

“There are so many unique items in the house, it was really fun to explore,” Clark said. “All the zombie servants are great too and really stay in character the entire time.”

The event is a great event to take your older children to or have a fun double date with group of friends.

Pretty sure $74.95 is WAY too pricy and that this DOES NOT INCLUDE park admission or parking. Pictures do not look remotely worth the price. Just my opinion.
