The event will cost attendees $2, however if they bring in 2 nonperishable items for donation it only costs $1 for admission.
“All the proceeds from the admission go to the Volunteers of America Crosswoods Homeless Shelter,” said Diane Akers, organizer of the event. “All of the nonperishable items that are donated will also go to the shelter.”

WHAT: Christmas Angel Craft Show
WHEN: 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15
WHERE: Ghostly Manor Thrill Center (AKA Skateworld Fun Center), 3319 Milan Road in Sandusky
COST: $2 or $1 when you bring in 2 nonperishable items
The shelter provides homeless people and their families with housing, food and clothing.
“They help people find permanent housing and employment,” Akers said. “They help them create a resume and help them get back on track.”
All of the money donated from the event will then be doubled by the government thanks to a special grant Crosswoods Homeless Shelter receives.
“We will also be having a bake sale to raise more money and a raffle,” Akers said. “Each vendor donated a item worth $15 to $20 and those items will be raffled off at the craft show.”
Tickets to the raffle are $5 for 10 tickets and you do not have to be there to win.
Santa Clause will also be taking pictures with children and has agreed to donate all his profits to the shelter.
“Some of the vendors will also be donating all their profits they make from the show,” Akers said.
Some of the items that will be for sale at the craft show include jewelry, dollhouses, Ohio State gear and embroidered oven gloves and aprons.
Most of the items will cost between $5 and $50.
“This is a great opportunity to help the area homeless,” Akers said. “So come do some last minute holiday shopping and help those in need in our community.”
