Now in it’s ninth year, this annual event begins at 2 p.m. with a silent auction. Guests can view the holiday decorations and bid on what items they want to take home with them. At 4 p.m. a live auction will take place with Len Partin as the auctioneer and Richie Saponari as the master of ceremonies.

All proceeds from the event will go to The Salvation Army Holiday Toy Drive. Last year approximately $15,000 in toys was purchased and given to over 1,900 children in Ottawa County.

Donors were able to drop off their holiday decorations from November 1 to November 30.

However, not everything that was dropped off had to be trees and wreaths. Participants could also decorate children’s toys, donate Christmas ornaments or give away frequent flyer miles. The more exotic the donation the more money will be raised for it.

The most important thing is to participant anyway you can, whether that be donating a decorated holiday item or bidding on something.

The Mon Ami Restaurant & Historical Winery and The Salvation Army will be hosting their annual Tree A’ Rama Charity Auction at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 2 at Mon Ami, 3845 Wine Cellar Road in Port Clinton.
