“This is our third year hosting the sale, all the proceeds we raise from this event will go towards our community involvement activities,” said Elks member, Mary Beaston. The event will begin at 3 p.m. and will continue until all the items are sold.

The items and desserts that will be for sale depend on the creations of the Elks Lodge members. “Each member has their own speciality, their own gift, of what they bring to sell,” explained Beaston.

Whether it’s a delicious homemade dessert, or different craft options such as crochet washcloths or homemade wreaths, the Elks members all put their hearts into what they are selling.

A cake walk will also take place during the sale. Beaston described it as the following: pies and cakes will be set up on a circular table and will be assigned a number. Participants will walk around the table to music and when the music stops, a ticket is drawn. The person in front of that specific numbered cake, wins that dessert.

“It’s simple, but it’s a lot of fun. People always have a great time,” said Beaston.

After the sale, join the Elks Lodge for dinner. “The lodge is hosting an all you can eat perch dinner after the sale,” said Beaston.
