WHEN: 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1
WHERE: Various businesses in downtown Sandusky
COST: Free

The November Art Walk will take place from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 1 at various businesses in downtown Sandusky.

“This is a monthly event we have from April to November,” said Amy Heflinger, member of the Art Walk Committee. “Artists come from all over and setup their work at different businesses in downtown Sandusky.”

Guests can then walk from business to business and look at the work the artists have for sale, as well as gaze at the merchandise the various businesses are selling.

The theme for the November Art Walk is the written word.

“We will be partnering with the Sandusky Library and will have some authors coming in conjunction with our theme,” Heflinger said. “We will also have 50 to 60 other artists participating in the art walk.”

With 20 to 25 businesses hosting artists there will be a variety of art for sale.

“Artists will be selling everything from paintings to photography to jewelry to sculptures,” Heflinger said. “The costs for the art will vary from a few dollars to $1,000.”

Some of the businesses that will be participating in the art walk include Holy Family Books and Gifts, Kharma Salon and Boutique, Erik’s Clothing for Men, J. Bistro and more.

“All of the businesses usually close around 5 p.m., so they stay open later for the art walk too,” Heflinger said. “Also, a majority of the art that is for sale is from regional artists, so you are supporting local art too.”
