The Port Clinton Pub will be throwing a Groundhog Day celebration complete with drink and dinner specials, and live music.

I gave McCarthy's a call and talked to Manager Megan Gabel about the party. She informed me that guests should expect specialty drinks made for the event, ten different beers on tap and great dinner specials including a special on their popular beef tips, which come with baby bakers. "it's like a bunch of little baked potatoes with seasoning," Gabel said when I asked her what in the world baby bakers were.

There will also be live acoustic music courtesy of JK All Day, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

"It always brings in a good crowd, and our drink specials are really reasonable," said Gabel.

So whether you're celebrating Punxsutawney Phil not seeing his shadow - thus ushering in an early Spring - or drinking your sorrows away because he did see his shadow (that's another six weeks of winter), this party is shaping up to be a great time.
