If you love meat and love eating it, especially from unique and gamey animals, then this event is for you. One of the best game feeds around is returning to the Bayside Tavern for its sixth year.

The Wild Game Feed is taking place this Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bayside Tavern, located at the corner of Route 269 and Route 6 in Castalia. Everything from duck, rabbit and fish, to buffalo, deer and elk, and more, will be present and ready for your feasting pleasure. “We will have quite a variety of game available,” said William Coburn, event coordinator.

WHAT: Annual Wild Game Feed
WHEN: 11 a.m. Saturday
WHERE: Bayside Tavern, 1115 Martins Point Road, Sandusky
COST: $10 per person
INFO: 419-626-2884

“Cost is $10 at the doors to get you anything to eat and all you can eat” explained Coburn. Quite a steal for a delicious, meaty meal. Some meat will be frozen to take home, but most will be served hot and ready to devour.

Only 200 tickets are being sold, so we suggest you plan to arrive early to snag yours. You certainly won’t be disappointed.

The meat itself comes from all over. “We raise the buffalo and elk ourselves, a lot of people donate other game such as the fish and rabbits” said Coburn.

Raffles and drawings will also be taking place during the meal with all proceeds benefiting the Margaretta Boosters club.
