The City of Bellevue is hosting the 11th annual Bellevue Community Days Festival from 5 pm to 11 pm on Thursday, June 27, 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Friday, June 28 and 10:00 am to 11:00 pm on Sunday, June 29. The festival will take place at Robert Peters Athletic Field and Park in Bellevue.
“Over a decade ago we held this event to celebrate Bellevue’s centennial and it was a big success,” said Marc Weisenberger, director of the Bellevue Parks and Recreation Department. “The mayor was so impressed by the turnout that he asked us to host it the following year and it just grew from there.”

Now in it’s 11th year a variety of Bellevue organizations make the annual event possible. Other sponsors of the festival include the Bellevue Parks and Recreation Department, Bellevue Rec Club and the Bellevue Area Tourism and Visitors Bureau.
“We estimate the approximately 25,000 people come to the celebration over the three days,” Weisenberger said. “Many people have their high school reunions or family reunions during this festival just so they can come. We also attract a lot of people from the surrounding communities.”
The festival has everything your typical hometown festival would have including live entertainment, a variety of reasonably priced carnival food, games and a variety of arts and crafts that attendees can purchase.
There is also a breathtaking fireworks display at 10:30 pm on Friday and an annual parade that starts at 10 am on Saturday.
“This year we will also have the Kent Family Circus here to entertain families during Kids Day at the festival,” Weisenberger said. “We will have a lot of good entertainment in a family friendly and fun environment.”
Admission to the Bellevue Community Days Festival is free and everyone is invited to join in on the celebration.
