The Merry-Go-Round Museum and the Maritime Museum are hosting the annual Toast of Ohio Wine Heritage Festival from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, August 9 and 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 10 at the Sandusky Greenhouse and the Sandusky Bay Pavilion.
Celebrating the eighth year of the festival, area wine makers will come together and offer samples of their local wine. With nine area wineries expected to be on-hand, everything from dry reds to sweet whites and everything in between will be for sale.

Some of the local wineries that will be featured at the festival include Paper Moon Vineyards, Maize Valley Winery and Firelands Winery.
This year the usual one day event is starting early with a kick off event at the Sandusky Greenhouse from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, August 9. For $20 guests are invited to come sample some of the best wines around, while tasting some mouthwatering appetizers and receiving a souvenir wine glass.
If guests buy tickets to the Friday night event they will receive free admission to the Saturday event by bringing their souvenir wine glass with them.
On Saturday for $5 guests will enjoy wine from nine area wineries, as well as live entertainment, gourmet food and art for sale by area artists.
With their $5 admission guests will receive two complimentary wine tasting tickets and a complimentary wine glass. However, additional wine and food tickets will also be available.
For $3 guests will receive four wine tasting tickets and food tickets range for $1 – $5. Guests can purchase ticket packages that combine wine and food tickets for $5 to $20. A $20 package includes admission, glass, ten food tickets and ten wine tastings.
