Port Clinton residents are celebrating the end of another successful summer season by holding an annual fall festival.
“We usually get around 3,000 people who attend each year, so this is a pretty big festival for the area,” said Donna Becker, co-organizer of the festival. “When we first started only locals would attend, now we get tourists that attend, as well as residents of surrounding communities.”
The festival started in 1990 and celebrates the end of the summer season in Port Clinton. Taking place on Madison Street in downtown Port Clinton, the festival takes place in the center of town.

“We will have live entertainment, as well as food vendors and alcohol being sold,” Becker said. “There also will be raffles going on.”
New this year is the Kids Zone, which includes face painting, games and a bounce house.
“This year there will also be a teen dance with a local teen as the DJ for the dance,” Becker said. “The past years that hasn’t been much for kids to do, so we are hoping with this Kids Zone there will be plenty of things to entertain kids as well.”
For adult entertainment there will be a variety of live music to get everyone in the celebratory mood. Some of the bands that will be performing throughout the weekend include the Sonny Bozman & Posse Band, Rumors – Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band and the Earthquakers.
“This festival is a great opportunity to meet some of your neighbors and celebrate the beginning of fall,” Becker said. “Also, Sunday is Family Fun Day, so this is the perfect event to bring the whole family to and celebrate your community.”
