Families are invited to bring their children to the museum to listen to some great holiday themed stories, while also enjoying some carousel rides.

“My children already love coming to the Merry-Go-Round Museum and with this story time event they are even more excited to go,” said Marie Ward of Sandusky. “As the weather get cooler there are very limited things you can do with your kids, so offering family events like this is fantastic.”

Instead of just reading with your child at home, why not enjoy a change of scenery and enjoy a great book at the Merry-Go-Round Museum. After listening to a story children are invited to take a ride on the carousel.

The Merry-Go-Round Museum was founded in 1990 by a group of area citizens dedicated to preserving carousel artifacts and educating the community about the history of carousels. The museum also features a working carousel that adults and children love to ride.

“The museum is great, it is educational and fun,” Ward said. “There is nothing like this around and with one of the largest amusement parks in the world in our backyard it makes sense to have this museum in our community.”

Tickets to the Carousel Story Time are $1 per person and can be purchased the day of the event.
