“This is the seventh year we have hosted this event and each year we have a variety of different vendors that sell some unique items,” said Kim Geldien, public relations/customer service coordinator for Ottawa County Riverview Healthcare Campus. “This year we will have 45 different vendors from four different counties.”

Some of the items that will be sold include jewelry, homemade cloths like tutus and blue jeans and holiday wreaths.

Want to go?

WHAT: Craft and Comfort Show
WHEN: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 16
WHERE: Ottawa County Riverview Healthcare Campus, 8180 W. SR, Oak Harbor
COST: Free

Prices range from $1 to $150 and really depend on the product.

“I have a furniture vendor that will be selling custom furniture, so that will be a little more expensive,” Geldien said. “However, some vendors also sell things like Christmas ornaments, which are not as expensive.”

All vendors that attend also donate a door prize valued at $20. All attendees can then enter the raffle and may win one of those prices.

With between 500-600 people expected to attend, it is recommended that you come earlier.

Guests can make an afternoon of it and enjoy lunch at the campus as well. For an additional cost homemade soup, pie and other treats will be sold to feed hungry shoppers.

“This is the perfect setting to get some of your Christmas shopping done.” Geldien said. “All the items are very reasonably priced and not like anything else you will find.”
