“There will be a variety of holiday crafts, live music and opportunity for kids to visit with Santa,” said Joe Yachanin, public relations specialist for the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. “Parents can bring their cameras to take pictures with Santa or they can have the zoo staff take pictures for a donation to the American Association of Zookeepers.”

Attendees can partake in some cookie decorating, visit some animals that thrive in the winter like bears, reindeer and tigers or check out some of the heated exhibits the are home to some of the zoo’s warm blooded animals like lions and giraffes.
“Visiting Santa and the arts and crafts activities will take place in Wolf Lodge,” Yachanin said. “For the other exhibits we have a complimentary heated shuttle to take visitors to the different exhibits.”
While attendance really depends on the weather, last year this event attracted over 13,400 visitors.
“The zoo is a fantastic year round experience and is so different during each season,” Yachanin said. “So, come bundle up the family and explore the zoo in the winter and come celebrate the holidays with us.”
