Columbus Brewery takes over Mekong Thursday

Columbus Brewing Company will be hosting a beer party at Mekong this Thursday, May 2. The party will consist of live music, free appetizers and a whole lot of fun.

In's Readers’ Choice Awards Mekong Vietnamese Restaurant took second place for best beer selection, and on May 2 they are celebrating this win and inviting you to come celebrate with them.

The party begins at 7:30 p.m. with live musical entertainment by Steve Brownell and special guest Sang (Lil-Psy).

This is also the night that Columbus Brewing Company will take over the taps, manager, Kha Bui explained. “We are going to have all their beer on tap tomorrow,” said Bui.

A representative from the brewing company will be available to answer any questions about their beers, as well. “Tony Cortez will be here, to talk about their beer” said Bui.

Mekong is becoming known as the place to go to try beers from all over the world that you might normally have never tried before, so come on out and enjoy some fun.

Free appetizers will be available throughout the evening.

“I can’t wait for tomorrow!” exclaimed Bui. Neither can we, Kha, neither can we.

Is it just me or isn't this a strange place for a party and live music and beer? Those Vietnamese must know how to party! WHO KNEW? Call me homophobic, but their spring rolls freak me out!
