For folks looking to get down for Halloween, Kalahari will be hosting its “Kalloween Party” Oct. 26 at the Reserve Bar.

“Everyone wants to have a party on Halloween,” Kalahari Marketing Manager Kristann Weber said. “You want to get out your Halloween costume and try to win a prize. Doesn’t it sound like a great time? We’re just inviting people to come out to ‘Kalloween’ and we’re giving away prizes for the scariest and sassiest and most unique.”

Previously called “Monster Mash,” the “Kalloween Party” includes a costume contest with winners taking home a Kindle Fire tablet, $100 Kalahari gift cards and spa treatments.

For those people who really love Halloween, you know, the coworker who talks non-stop about what his or her costume will be beginning in the spring, the “Kalloween Party” allows them to celebrate in red-carpet style with various VIP packages for the Reserve Bar affair.

“We even have an opportunity where people – like a group of 8 to 10 – can get together and become VIPs for an evening,” Weber said. “We have three different levels and each level comes with a private table or booth and a cocktail server. With the gold level you get three appetizers/desserts, a 10 percent discount off food and get 15 drink tickets.

The silver level you get one appetizer/dessert and 10 drink tickets, while the bronze level gets you eight drink tickets.” The cost of the VIP experience is $200 for gold, $150 for silver and $100 for bronze.

Granted Halloween parties are ubiquitous this time of the year, but Weber stresses folks taking in the “Kalloween Party” will experience something special.

“It’s a great place to come out,” Weber said. “We have one of the area’s finest DJs with incredible lights and an amazing sound system. Really, it’s the kind of experience you’d normally have to go to Cleveland or Toledo for but we’re doing it right here in Sandusky.”

The “Kalloween Party” party takes place from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Oct. 26.
