Walk with some witches tomorrow

As the goblins and ghouls come out this Halloween, let your inner witch shin during an annual event that celebrates businesses in downtown Sandusky.

James A. Bertsch Jeweler is hosting their annual Witches Walk at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30. The walk will start at Bertsch Jeweler and Gifts, 101 West Market Street in Sandusky.

“A few years ago we decided to do something fun to celebrate the businesses in downtown Sandusky and we can came up with this event,” said Donna Bertz, co-organizer of the walk. “The idea is we visit different restaurants and bars in downtown Sandusky and sample some of their foods and drinks.”

Different establishments will have special dishes and drinks made especially for this event, which always takes place the Wednesday before Halloween.

“They will make drinks like poison apple martinis and special spooky appetizers,” Bertz said. “As we walk from business to business I will also share stories of haunted buildings and ghostly visitors to get people in the Halloween spirit.”

Some of the businesses that will be participating in the walk include The Crowbar, Cabana Jack’s, Daly’s Pub and Water Street Bar and Grille. There will also be events going on at Kirk Miller Floral Designs and palm readings at Bertsch Jewelers.

“It is going to be a really fun night,” Bertz said. “This is a great way to explore downtown Sandusky, so come bring your best witch outfit and celebrate Halloween with us!”
