The weekends of April 19 and 26 are known around Put-in-Bay as Bachelor/Bachelorette Weekends. “These weekends are the most popular weekends for bridal parties to come to the island and party,” said Steve Firman, general manager of Mr. Ed’s Bar and Grille.

WHEN: Friday-Saturday April 19-20 and Friday-Saturday, April 26-27
WHERE: Bars/Hotels throughout PIB

The weekends are before tourist season kicks into high gear on the island, so bridal parties get the best deals on hotels, drinks and food.

Local pubs have specials going on for two consecutive weekends to encourage bridal parties to come in and drink, eat, and celebrate their last days of being single.

“It is a popular weekend to come to the island and let loose before you get married,” Firman said. “Put-in-Bay is the perfect getaway because it is within two hours of many major cities. It is a little getaway without having to travel too far from home.”

Bars like Mr. Ed’s Bar and Grille and the Round House Bar will be hosting special events the weekends of April 19 and April 26, while hotels like the Put-in-Bay Resort and Conference Center and the Bay Lodging Resort will be offering specials on hotel stays.

“It is just a really fun weekend and the perfect place to have a bachelor and bachelorette party,” Firman said. “So, come escape to your own backyard with some of your closest friends and have one last party before you get hitched.”
