“Different bars and businesses have events to celebrate the weekend,” said Deval Lucas, manager of Mr. Ed’s Bar and Grille. “We will have our pool and grado area open and will be having live entertainment.”

WHAT: Memorial Day Weekend Bash at the Bay

Mr. Ed’s will also be opening up their new martini bar, which is located on the roof of the restaurant.
“We may have some drink specials as well,” Lucas said. “This is one of the biggest weekends of the summer and is a big welcome back to everyone.”
Other bars like the Beer Barrel Saloon, Frosty’s and the Round House will also have live entertainment, drink specials and special activities to commemorate the weekend.
In honor of our fallen soldiers Perry’s Victory and International Peace Monument will have a ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 25 on the back lawn of the visitor’s center of the monument.
During the ceremony author of “The Slave’s Gamble,” Gene Allen Smith, will be the keynote speaker. The monument will also be open throughout the weekend for kid’s activities, tours and living history lessons.
There will also be a parade throughout the weekend featuring antique and classic cars.
“It is a really fun weekend with a lot going on for people of all ages,” Lucas said. “So, come to Put-in-Bay and have a blast and celebrate the beginning of the summer with us!”
