Taste some island wine at Kelleys' annual Winefest

What better way to celebrate the beginning of fall than a wine festival on Kelleys Island.

Kelleys Island Wine Company is hosting their 15th annual WineFest from 2-8 p.m. on Saturday, September 21 at their winery.

“This is a really fun fall festival that people seem to really enjoy,” said Abbey Zettler, general manager for Kelleys Island Wine Company. “We will have a variety of vendors, food, wine tasting and live entertainment.”

The cover band the Naked Bacon Band will perform from 2-6 p.m.

All the wines the winery produces will be available for tasting, as well as special sangria. The sangria will be for sale by the glass.

“We will also be having a big blow out sale and selling all the wine we have left from the season,” Zettler said. “We will have the best prices on wine during this sale, so the wine will be going fast.”

There will also be crafts for sale including items made out of wine corks, jewelry and homemade pillows. There will also be a lot of wine themed items for sale as well.

“There will also be kid friendly activities and grape juice,” Zettler said. “We will be grilling out and other food vendors will be selling food as well.”
