Coming off its Nine Inch Nails-esque lead single, “Sail,” Awolnation is back with its follow-up single “Kill Your Heroes.” The bouncy track shows off the electronic act’s melodic side with a radio-friendly anthem that continues singer Aaron Bruno’s angsty streak.
You can’t deny the ‘90s alt rock scene runs heavy through this band’s veins, but “Kill Your Heroes” isn’t so much aping the past as paying homage to Cobain and company.
