Jam of the Week: Norah Jones, 'Little Broken Hearts'

If you’re like me and, while you loved Norah Jones in the early 2000s, didn’t think she had released a new album since 2004, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to learn that we’re way behind the times.

Not only has Norah Jones released four albums and an EP since 2004, but we’ve chosen one of the songs off of her new album as our jam of the week.

Jones’ sound and vocal qualities have matured and evolved with times. This is especially prevalent in the title track of her newest album “Little Broken Hearts.”

The song has a little bit more strength and anger in it than the Norah Jones that I remember and I love it. There’s also more of a folk tone to her new album which is always a plus in my book.

Every Friday, we post a Jam of the Week — a relatively new song that has caught our ear. Like it? Hate it? Let us know. Or better yet, tell us what YOUR Jam of the Week is.
