For lovers of ‘90s alternative tunes, this underrated band’s catalog boasts amazing treasures waiting to be unearthed. For now, newcomers can start with the outfit’s lead single, “Catatonic,” from its new album “Lost Songs.” Crashing guitars, breakneck-paced rhythms and borderline screamed vocals create an atmosphere of rage, angst and uncertainty. Invariably, “Catatonic” is at best the fourth best song on “Lost Songs.” That said, do yourself a favor and get lost on the Trail of Dead.
