The Ritz Theatre will be hosting Friday Night at the Ritz at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 2 at their venue located at 30 South Washington Street in Tiffin.

“We have been doing this series for six years now and have seen a lot of talent come through our doors,” said Michael Strong, executive director of the Ritz Theatre. “It is a great opportunity for artists who are not well known to get their name out in the community and perform.”

Audience members sit around tables and listen to the singers and songwriters perform. With only 80 seats available, these performances are more casual than the usual events at the Ritz Theatre.

“Our next performance will feature a jazz combo of Tiffin University professors,” Strong said.

While a lot of artists from the area play at Friday Night at the Ritz, the theatre also draws artists from places as far away as Columbus and Cincinnati.

“We really have a pool of artists from Ohio and beyond,” Strong said. “There are just so many talented musicians out there and they see this as a valuable opportunity.”

The venue sells beer, wine, coffee, soft drinks and snacks at the event, so you can enjoy the performances with a drink in your hand and some food in your stomach.

“Everyone needs a break sometimes, so this is that opportunity for some artists,” Strong said. “So come out and enjoy some live music that you may otherwise not be able to hear.”
