Third Thursdays return to Vermilion

Enjoy all types of live music as you explore the restaurants and shops in downtown Vermilion every third Thursday, beginning this Thursday, May 16.

The first Third Thursday of the 2013 summer season is happening this week in downtown Vermilion and according to Sandy Grisel, executive director of Vermilion’s Chamber of Commerce, it's an event that is sure to entertain everyone.

A variety of music will be played, depending on what direction you begin walking.

A lot of the store merchants host different themes in their stores, explained Grisel. All while matching different music genres, rock and roll, country, opera, you name it, it will be there. “People can stop and listen to a little music then head to another restaurant or a shop” said Grisel, “People can just walk around our town and enjoy themselves.”

According to Grisel, Vermilion’s Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to another great season, as hundreds to thousands of people sometimes attend these evenings. “It’s a lot of fun... and it’s free,” she said.

“The whole goal is to get people to come into our town and help our community” said Grisel. And the merchants welcome you, doors open wide.
