Pop goes the Holidays at the Sandusky State Theatre

Get into the holiday spirit by listening to some beautiful music provided by Firelands Symphony Orchestra.

The Firelands Symphony Orchestra is presenting their annual Holiday Pops concert at 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 8.

“It is a very popular family tradition for our community,” said Jamie Steinemann, executive director of the Firelands Symphony Orchestra. “We sell out every year because people love to attend and get in the holiday spirit.”

This year the orchestra will be accompanied by vocalist Diane Penning. Penning is a nationally known artists from Michigan.

“Guests will enjoy lots of Christmas carols and other traditional holiday music,” Steinemann said. “There will also be a special narrator reading the Night Before Christmas.”

The performance will be approximately two hours with a short intermission between acts. Some of the fun holiday songs they will perform include “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”, “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and “Santa Baby”.

“It really is a wonderful concert with some great music,” Steinemann said. “The program is also very diverse and offers something for everyone.”
