We changed things up a bit this year and decided that instead of having an online voting period, we’re going to leave all the decision making up to the day of. This means that instead of attempting to judge your favorites based on one song posted online, you’ll get to pick your favorite based on the full experience of each band.
There will be two winning bands, our Judge’s Choice winner and our People’s Choice winner. The Judge’s Choice winner will be chosen by our panel of wonderful judges and will win two awesome prizes. First off, the band who is named Judge’s Choice winner will be the opening band for Skid Row the next evening. Secondly, the Judge’s Choice winning band will also receive a $300 recording package at Mohawk Studio in Huron.
Since the People’s Choice winner was such a hit last year, we’re bringing it back for a second year. The difference is that this year, the People’s Choice winner will also be opening for Skid Row as the first opening band. The People’s Choice winner will be chosen by you guys. During the show you will be able to text in your vote for who you think should be the People’s Choice winner. To vote you have to be at the Battle of the Bands on Friday because that’s when we’ll be handing out fliers letting you know how to vote for your favorite band.
We're also giving away a free pair of Ohio Bike Week All-Access Passes at the end of the night. You don't even really have to do anything extra to be entered to win them, everyone who texts in to vote for the People's Choice winner will automatically be entered for a chance to win.

The Sewing Circle
In 2008 The Sewing Circle hooked up with producer Jim Diamond (The White Stripes, Von Bondies, Mooney Suzuki), who recorded their self-titled debut at Ghetto Recorders in Detroit, Michigan. The band financed the album and recorded it in seven days onto glorious analogue tape.
The debut album was praised for its joyful melodies, inventive arrangements that blended rock, folk and roots music and the stunning harmonies of Meghan Blake and Andrew Rohde, the band’s co-lead vocalists and songwriters. The band worked hard to promote the album independently through 2008-2009.
Eager to get back into the studio, the band approached producer extraordinaire Jonathan James of “Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin” about making their next record. In December of 2009 the band traveled to Springfield, MO to record with James and Ryan Spilken. The result was the “I Saw Stars” EP, which was released in 2010
Currently, The Sewing Circle is releasing a singles collection. Once every few months a new song will be released along with a B-side song.

"UnLaBeLeD" is an alternative/punk band from Marblehead, Ohio. In November 2011, David Gast (Guitar, Vocals), Corbin Rickard (Guitar, Vocals), and brothers Matt Pusateri (Drums) and Ben Pusateri (Vocals) combined their talents and started the band "UnLaBeLeD." After their first live performance in January 2012, Cooper Eller (Bass) joined the group to fill out the lineup.
Unlabeled has stayed true to their influences and is working on developing their own sound, and the local music scene is taking notice. Unlabeled has participated in several local Battle of the Bands, including winning the People's Choice vote at the 2012 Funcoast.com Battle fo the Bands. They have played at several local venues and festivals spanning from Toledo to Cleveland and have been dubbed “one of the best up-and-coming bands in Ohio" by being selected to play "Rockin' the Fair Fest" at the Ohio State Fair. They have entertained venues such as Headliners (Toledo), Howard's Club H (Bowling Green), The Symposium (Lakewood), and Mickey Finn's (Toledo), just to name a few.
Eller and the group parted ways in the winter of 2012, and the group added Shay Rickard (Bass) in May 2013 to fill out the lineup once again. They have been continuously working on adding to their set list, focusing on putting on a good live show, and have been writing, and now recording, original music. Unlabeled is currently in the studio recording their debut EP. Look for the release of "Weight of the World" coming this summer.

“Blood, sweat and beers,” that’s the motto of Bowling Green-based hard rock band Sinful Desire. Fused together by the varying influences of lead guitarist Tyler Simon, drummer Eli Simon, and vocal powerhouse Darcy, the band is rounded out by bassist John Lyon and rhythm guitarist Albert Park. Sinful Desire’s unique style of blending hard rock riffs and metal drumming is set off by dark and infectious lyrics.
