Performing this ballet in local communities like Norwalk and Sandusky, the Ballet Theatre of Toledo’s production of the Nutcracker is family friendly and a magical production.
“We have a complete cast that features everything from toy soldiers to children to sugar plum fairies,” Burgoine said. “There is also a variety of dance and music in our production.”
The production will feature guest artists from Cincinnati, Louisville and Lexington, as well as some local talent.
“One actor in this production has been performing the Nutcracker for 60 year and he is from Fremont,” Burgoine said. “There are also four girls from Sandusky in the production.”
The performance will be two hours, which includes an intermission between acts.
“I think everyone will enjoy our performance of the Nutcracker because it is not too long and not too short,” Burgoine said. “It is also very much like a fairy tale story and takes the audience on a wild adventure.”
The Ballet Theatre of Toledo will be performing the Nutcracker at the Sandusky State Theatre at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 1 and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, at their location, 107 Columbus Avenue in Sandusky.
