On Friday, August 8, Daniel Wang, will be featured in Prokofieff’s “Piano Concerto D-Flat Major.” Mr. Wang is a brilliant young artist -- a 15 year old student at the Cleveland Music SchoolSettlement. The descriptive “Fountains of Rome” by Italian composer Ottorino Respeghi, will open the program. Composed in 1916, this symphonic poem depicts four of Rome’s famous fountains at the specific time of day when each was most in harmony with the surrounding landscape. The program will close with a performance of the last of over 100 symphonies by Haydn – his “Symphony No. 104 in D-Major.” It was written in London -- the last of the many works that Haydn wrote while he was in Britain.
