Remember Dylan Night III
It's that time again to gather together and Remember Dylan R Flew!!! This year's event will again take place at Blutos in Norwalk!
For those of you who don't know, this picture of Dylan was taken by our good friend Luisa James at Blutos just weeks before Dylan's fatal motorcycle accident. So it is literally the most recent, and dare I say...best...pic we have! Thanks to Stein Photography for the impressive background!
Dylan Flew was an organ and tissue donor and saved 5 lives immediately and has enhanced the lives of 64 others through tissue donation.
We would LOVE TO HAVE A GREAT TURN OUT again this year! Please plan on stopping by sometime during the evening to celebrate Dylan's life with us! No cost at the door....buy your own drinks, etc. T-shirts and one 50/50- the only things we're having! Just come and enjoy!
The "No Regrets" event t-shirts will be available again this year for a cost of $10.00 each. (Same as last year) and the proceeds this year are going to be donated to the VFW Norwalk post to assist them in the purchase of a new flag. Not just any flag...this is the world's largest masted flag. The one they currently have (which was featured on Fox 8 News) was torn in the Memorial Day storm 2010. This new one will be a non-rippable flag that should last a long long time!
The reasons for this choice of donantion is many...one, The VFW was generous enough to donate the hall and pavillion outside for us at no cost when we held Dylan's "Give to Live" event there in 2007. Two, Dylan's grandfather was a veteran and loved that big flag, and taking our boys down to see it! Third, it's our community people....we want to give back!
There will be a rep from VFW at our event and also a rep from Life Connection of Ohio again too. Russ and I are now on the Advisory Committee as a donor family. They will have "The Big Green Chair" at our event. This is a campaign to promote organ donation registration. You'll be able to get your picture taken in the chair and more than likely the event will be featured on line for our area.
Now......the t-shirts. If you need a size and it's not still available that night, WE WILL AGAIN BE TAKING PRE-PAID ORDERS and get it to you!
