Discussion Guidelines

Funcoast.com is a place where everyone can get together and talk about what’s going on in the North Coast region. These discussion guidelines explain what it means to be an active Funcoast user.

Commenting Rules
  1. Play nice. No personal attacks. No racist or discriminatory remarks. No posting personal information. And don't threaten — it's not nice and it's not legal.
  2. Be truthful. No libel, no defamation.
  3. Keep it clean. Well, mostly clean.
  4. Have fun. You can have fun and follow all the other rules. Really.
  5. Do not post lengthy and off-topic excerpts from other websites. You may, however, post small, on-topic excerpts from other websites and provide links to those websites.
Our end of the bargain
  1. No censorship. We'll never take down a legitimate post just because we disagree with it.
  2. Mean people suck. If someone is bullying you with personal attacks, discriminatory remarks, or threats, we'll take the offending posts down.
  3. Privacy is sacred. We'll never share your personal information with anyone, ever (maybe if a judge orders us to).
  4. Have fun. We don't screen comments before they post, but Funcoast moderators will remove any posts that violate these simple rules whenever we see them or they're brought to our attention.
