Last chance to get on board

The Funcoast team is gearing up for our last Sizzling Summer event this Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at The Reserve at Kalahari. We’ll be doing a live broadcast and giving away fantastic prizes — including tickets for our exclusive end-of-summer booze cruise — so you’ll definitely want to stop by and get in on the fun.

Recap: Kelleys Island booze cruise

Friday night’s booze cruise was, as you well know by now, a downright tribute to drinking and craziness.

My interview with a vampire

If you were at the mall this past Friday, you may have noticed a crowd of screaming women and girls holding “Twilight” books and wearing vampire garb. Sandusky got to have a little taste of the “Twilight” sensation when Peter Facinelli visited our mall this past weekend.

12 things to do this weekend

Kiss the summer goodbye, and point me toward the autumn. Labor Day Weekend marks the unofficial end of summer, and there are plenty of area events this weekend to make sure that Summer 2010 goes out with a bang.

International Read Comic Books In Public Day

Holy catchphrase, Batgirl!

Gather ‘round, nerdlings, for this is a tale of woes and wonders, of feats and fears, of comic books and the dorks who unabashedly love them. This is the tale of International Read Comics In Public Day, which, incidentally, was this past Saturday.

FSO performs outdoors for the first time

A celebration of summertime weather with symphonic music is the idea behind the Firelands Symphony Orchestra's free outdoor pops concert taking place at 6 p.m. Aug. 29 at the McBride Arboretum on the BGSU Firelands campus in Huron.

Live blog: Sizzling Summer give-away at Cheap Seats (updated 7:54 p.m.)

We're already here at Cheap Seats and boy, does it smell yummy. We're giving out Sizzling Summer cruise tickets, so stop by and get on board before it's too late!

Baseball the way it was originally played

There's a baseball team in Fremont that appears to be something out of “Field of Dreams.” However these hitters and fielders don't emerge out of the corn, aren't in Iowa and Kevin Costner is nowhere to be found.

Only two chances left to get on the Goodtime

The summer is starting to wind down, and so too is our Sizzling Summer give-away. If you want to catch the Goodtime I with us out to Kelleys Island on September 8, you’re going to have to hurry up and get out to one of our last events.
