Ok, this how to isn't as useful as some that we've done, but it is a lot of fun. Learn how to make several different kinds (and sizes) of catapults. Who knows, it may help you out some day (no promises).
This week I've found a couple hidden treasures amongst some anticipated releases. We've got an Oscar-winning movie, a game that lets you play "House', one of my favorite bands and Sarah Silverman's new book release.
Today, we learn about cookies, trashcans and the truth about kilts. These whimsical words of advice come from ThisTakesTooLongToType.com, a website which, not surprisingly, specializes in "short' horoscopes.
USA Dance Sandusky - April Dance was held at the Sandusky Elks Lodge #285 this past Saturday evening. The crowd was eager and enthusiastic to get moving on the dance floor.
While English rock band The Cure may be well-known for their somber, depressing and downright angsty tunes, this one's a little more upbeat. The video is interesting, too - there's lots of dancing, glitter and horribly sketchy outfits (and makeup).
If you enjoy any of the following things, you'll love today's link: American Idol, Chat Roulette, Glee, people who think they can sing but really can't, bad versions of good songs and ponies (ok, the last one doesn't apply, but oh well).
Fresh air, delicious food and plenty of outdoor activities - how's that sound to you? We think it sounds pretty swell, ourselves. This is definitely the weekend to get the kids out of the house (if you haven't already), and there are plenty of things to keep them busy and your bellies full (a perch fish fry and a chili cook-off, for example).
Local favorite Jamestown didn't disappoint the mass crowd of supporters at their CD release party. Held at the Norwalk Theatre, local fans patiently waited to enjoy the show.
This super simple game is a great time killer (and not as dirty as it sounds). Spank The Monkey is exactly what the title says it is, you spank a monkey to see how fast you can launch him off the screen. The faster you drag the hand to the monkey the faster he goes. Spank away...
Both of this week's movies have interesting casts (unfortunately, only one of them has a unique plot). However, Death at a Funeral and Kick-Ass should satisfy your comedy needs.
You know those pesky little things we call "silent letters'? There will always be words with crazy spellings that don't coincide with their pronunciations. So much for the "sound it out' suggestion we learned in school, right?
One of the earliest PC games I can remember playing is Transport Tycoon Deluxe. Released in 1995, I played it on a computer many times less powerful than the average cell phone of today. Regardless, it's one of those titles whose timeless gameplay is still a blast years later.
This week's recipe is healthy, simple to make, and very satisfying. Frozen banana pops are a treat everyone will enjoy and better yet, you can make them with different toppings, whatever your taste buds desire.
