Cedar Point, a 364-acre amusement park, is located on a Lake Erie peninsula. The park boasts 17 coasters and 68 rides, as well as live entertainment, games, restaurants, shops and accommodations. New this year is Maverick, a coaster that treats riders to multiple terrain-hugging elements that have never been experienced on a Cedar Point roller coaster. It features one of the steepest first drops on a roller coaster, an astonoshing 95 degree angle.

The park is open daily from May 12-Sept. 3, and on weekends through Oct. 28. Hours vary. Regular All-Day admission is $41.95, and Junior All-Day admission (Ages 3 and older, under 48" in shoes) is $11.95. Military admission is $31 (for active or retired military personnel and their immediate family members; valid ID required). Children age 2 and younger are admitted free. Daily parking is $10 per vehicle.

Soak City Regular All-Day admission is $29, and Junior All-Day admission is $11.95. Soak City Starlight admission is $15.95.

Two Day Ride & Slide tickets for both Cedar Point and Soak City are $69.95 or $29.95 for juniors. Starlight admission is $24.95 (valid after 5 p.m. or after 4 p.m. when Cedar Point closes earlier than 10 p.m)

It was darn near dark when Ryan took this photo, the lond exposure time really brightened it up. Also, the ferris wheel ride was kind of boring/sucky in that they loaded intermittently, instead of loading all cars and then going around a couple of times.
