After spending the better part of the last decade as the underground band everybody should have known about, Band of Horses is ready to fully explode into the mainstream with its fourth studio effort “Mirage Rock.”

If lead single “Knock Knock” is any indication, the alternative band – known for its alt country leanings and southern rock hints – is feeling garage-y these days with the jangly song that caters to Ben Bridwell’s sense-of-urgency vocals.

Diehards may question the outfit’s new direction but you have to give the Seattle act credit for not only opening a new door but stepping inside regardless of popular opinion.

Unfortunately the album won't be released until September 18, but you can preorder it on iTunes HERE.
