The Maritime Museum of Sandusky is once again hosting the annual Big Splash Raffle from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, August 17 and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 18 at the Sandusky Bay Pavilion in Sandusky.
“It is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said Annette Kluding, director of the museum. “The majority of tickets that are sold are for the Big Splash Raffle.”
The Big Splash Raffle is a raffle where luxurious items like a 2012 Ford F150, a 2012 Ford Mustang, a 2012 Harley Davidson Street Bob and $50,000 are raffled off.
“Tickets to the Big Splash Raffle are $100, but the items raffled off are worth way more,” Kluding said. “In total we have 70 different prizes that will be raffled off and they together are valued at $250,000.”
All of the items are raffled off using lottery balls, so participants can win multiple prizes.
However, if your budget is tight and you cannot fork over $100, you can still come and enter smaller raffles.
If you do not buy a Big Splash ticket admission is $5 and you can enter smaller drawings where you are eligible to win items like cash, The Ohio State University memorabilia and Cleveland Indians gear.
“Food and drinks will also be sold at the event, so come down because it will be a really good time,” Kluding said. “There will be live entertainment on Friday and on Saturday, the majority of the Big Splash Raffle prizes will be raffled off. So, come down and enjoy the beautiful weather and maybe win some prizes”
