For those Gen Xers needing a ‘90s fix, or younger folks seeking to understand what the Clinton administration musical era was all about, Redd Kross’ new track “Researching the Blues” is like a pleasant time machine without the post-grunge jet lag.

Naturally, this shouldn’t come as a surprise considering Redd Kross has alternative nation credentials as one of the most underrated and obscure bands from the ‘80s and ‘90s, never to surface and breathe Cobain’s air.

As for “Researching the Blues,” the jumpy track has it all – snotty vocals, wailing guitars and deep hooks. Ah, that’s the stuff.
