1) ManiFEST 2K12
Why you should go: This new musical festival is in its first year and is shaping up to be an awesome event. With tons of musical guests and the proceeds going to multiple nonprofit organizations, you can enjoy music and feel good about where your money is going. Plus admission is only $5, or if you bring two canned goods it’s only $3.

2) Annual Brewery Festival: Milan Brew-Haha
Why you should go: Who doesn’t want to go to a festival all about beer? Enjoy tastings, appetizers, raffles, music and all sorts of vendors. Raise a glass to Milan’s brewing history and maybe try a new brew you’ve never had before. You even get a 5 oz. mini pilsner when you go.

3) FSO Opening Night
Why you should go: The Firelands Symphony Orchestra always puts on a good show. With award-winning pianist Daniil Trifonov as the guest artist and this show being the opening night of the season, this show is sure to continue the tradition. Plus, with a piece named “Rachmaninoff’s Mighty Third,” how could you go wrong?

4) 23rd Annual Great Black-backed Gull Watch
Why you should go: I know seagulls aren’t everyone’s favorite bird, but who wouldn’t want to see a seagull with a 5ft wingspan? This event involves more than just looking for giant seagulls, attendees will also be looking for other bird species, including bald eagles. If the wind conditions are right, attendees will also be able to track the migration of Monarch butterflies on their way to Mexico for the winter.

5) 2nd Annual Pete’s Pizza Extravaganza
Why you should go: Ok, we know that Wednesday isn’t technically part of the weekend, but this event is just going to be so awesome. Enjoy all you can eat pizza from ten different local vendors for only $10 per person. It’s the perfect event for anyone who loves pizza, which is everyone.
