Free admission to museums, a Kidfest, jazz and wine — that's what's going on this weekend.
1.) International Museum Day
Why you should go: Erie County museums join together to celebrate International Museum Day in Sandusky and Milan. The Eleutheros Cooke House and Garden, the Follett House Museum, the Maritime Museum of Sandusky, the Sandusky Greenhouse, the Merry-Go-Round Museum, the Ohio Veterans Home Museum, Edison Birthplace and the Milan Historical Museum will all be open free to the public, and each will offer family activities. The Sandusky Underground Railroad Education Center and the Erie County Historical Society will also offer free activities. For more information, please check the websites of participating locations.

2.) Wightman-Wieber Safety Celebration & Kidfest
Why you should go: There will be a fun safety fair, contests, games, activities, special guests, music and more. Visit the Erie MetroParks booth for nature activities and meet the Bicycle Safety Ranger. Sponsored by the Wightman-Wieber Foundation, Sandusky City Schools, the City of Sandusky, Maritime Museum of Sandusky and the Sandusky Children’s Museum. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

3.) Mutach’s Market Wine Tasting & Jazz Concert
Why you should go: Music and wine – must we go on? Kick off your summer with this event. Bring your lawn chairs, sit back and enjoy the distinctive wines of Debonne Vineyards, in cooperation with Vintage Wine Distributors, while listening to live jazz music from Nite Beat. Wine will be sold by the glass or bottle, and beer and food will also be available for purchase. A portion of proceeds will benefit the North Coast Greyhound Connection.

4.) ZERO 1 featuring Hal Sparks
Why you should go: Actor and comedian Hal Sparks has another project you might not be aware of – his hard rock band ZERO 1, which is playing at the Underground this weekend. Opening bands include Oedipus, Impending Lies and more. Doors open at 5 p.m.

5.) Flea Market
Why you should go: Go bargain hunting! Featuring a wide variety of merchandise on display and for sale, including antiques, collectibles, furniture, crafts, produce, sports cards, clothing, tools, glass and much more. There’s something for everyone. There will be 300-450 dealers per flea market. A variety of food is also available.
