A red light is generally not a good thing.

In most cases it means stop.

As in “stop at the intersection when you’re already late for work” or “stop and pull over because you were doing 53 in a 35” and guess what? Now you’re realllly going to be late.

And a little bit lighter in the wallet as well...

Fortunately though, Brutus’ Downunder in Huron is giving the ole’ red light a new spin. (And yes, I do know the red light symbolizes a particular profession as well, but we’re not going there.)

We’re going to Brutus’ on Friday for their Red Light Special.

This flashing red light means go! Go to the bar within 15 minutes!

This red light won’t bust your billfold — it’s the signal that the “bartenders choice” drink is on special.
What’s the special? You never know. Could be Bud Light, might be a Washington Apple or a Red Headed Slut.

The Red Light Special is every Friday from 3 p.m. to midnight — just make sure you have a driver with you. We don’t want one flashing red light to lead to another.

Now — speaking of go!, Saturday is the day we’ve been waiting for all winter — the official opening day of Cedar Point and Planet Snoopy!

This is fun — there’ll be two celebrity beagles there — Joe Cool of course, and Uno, the Westminster Dog Show Best In Show Beagle. Plus another celebrity — that red-headed girl. No, not Charlie Brown’s red-headed girl — Lauren Holly. Oh, and you! We’ll be there shooting Spotted photos so smile and say chocolate chip cookies…
