The Rockin It For Lauren Benefit Fashion Show and Concert at the Sandusky State Theatre on Friday has been postponed, according to Costin Manu, theater executive director. The theater has called everyone who bought tickets through the theater and will refund the money next week. The concert is postponed for a minimum of two weeks, Manu said.

Oprah's coming to town? And Akon?

No, no. Settle down, Sandusky.

Over the past week or so, there have been so many rumors running rampant around the city about the "Rockin' It for Lauren Rogers Benefit Fashion Show & Concert," which takes place at 7 p.m., March 30 at the Sandusky State Theatre.

So many rumors, in face, that the organizers had trouble keeping up.

For the record, Oprah Winfrey will not be in the house. Neither will Nelly, Akon, Chingy, Notorious B.I.G, Tupac Shakur, Liberace, Anna Nicole Smith or James Brown.

"We're having a benefit concert show for 17-year-old Lauren Rogers, who was killed last December and was a friend of mine," said Demetrius "Meechi" Bradley, who is co-owner of Cleveland-based promotions group Certified Entertainment LLC. "We're raising money for a scholarship in her name."

He added, "She loved fashion and she loved music so I thought what better way to combine the two. All the net proceeds go toward the scholarship fund. The scholarship will be available to all local college-bound Erie and Huron County high school seniors."

Even though the notion of the aforementioned group of A-level stars proved to be conjecture, the list of celebrities and artists performing at the Sandusky event is impressive.

"It's going to be a celebrity event," Bradley said. "It's the first time something like this has been done in Erie County. Besides Cedar Point, there's never been
something this big."

The celebrity list includes appearances and performances by Fat Joe, pop artist Jeannie Ortega, local band Remembering Venice, MTV host Sam Sarpong ("Yo Mamma") and "Laguna Beach" season three cast members
Breanna Conrad, Alexandra "Lexie" Brianne Contursi and Raquel "Rocky" Nicole Donatelli.

There also will be 60 local high school area models for the fashion portion of the show. Bradley said they hope to raise upwards of $50,000 toward the scholarship fund.

When it comes to celebrities getting together, there's always an after-party, with this evening being no different. After much ballyhoo, it's been determined that Daly's Irish Pub and Eatery will host a get together with a scheduled appearance by Fat Joe.

Tickets are $8, with a V.I.P. area and DJ set up for a low-key affair.

Daly's also will be the site of a pre-show get together with numerous radio stations expected to be broadcasting live.

The other after-party soiree is being held at Lyman Harbor and is scheduled to host the remaining celebrities with music provided by
DJ Boogie and DJ Daddy. In addition, and keeping with the fashion theme, a "Zoolander" costume contest with prizes will take place.

Tickets are $10 ($15 for under 21). Bradley pointed out that the true event is the "Rockin' It for Lauren Rogers Benefit Fashion Show Certified
Entertainment not being affiliated with any of the after-show parties.
